Support with travel costs

If you would like to attend one of our on-campus events but the cost of travelling to us is making it difficult, we can support you by offering a contribution towards your travel costs. Read on for more information.

Eligibility criteria

In order to qualify for this support scheme you will need to:

  • Book to attend one of our events at our Ormskirk campus. Bookings need to be made by the start time of the event that you are attending.
  • Submit the online claim form, you’ll find the link to this in your booking confirmation/reminder email. You can also find the link to the form here

  • Claim forms must be submitted no later than midnight two days after the event you have attended.
  • Attend the event and ensure your attendance has been recorded through our check in area.

The contribution towards your travel costs will be calculated at the following rates, based on the straight line distance (as the crow flies) from your home address to our campus (Ormskirk postcode: L39 4QP)

We will use a distance calculator for this.

Payments

Upon submission of your claim form, we will send an email requesting your bank details as the payment will be made directly by BACS transfer.

We aim to make the payment within 6 weeks of you attending the event.
