Welcome to the Department of Biology, where you’ll find our Chemistry courses. Our courses help you to develop your practical and problem-solving skills and enhance your conceptual understanding of the world of chemistry. You’ll spend most of your time in our well-equipped labs where you’ll carry out a number of experiments, so you can get hands-on with your studies.

Facilities

You’ll be based in our BioSciences building which incorporates impressive, modern laboratories, offering exciting and highly relevant practical experience in some of the best-equipped facilities in the country. BioSciences is home to modern laboratories, climate-controlled insectaries, specialist IT facilities and state-of-the-art scientific equipment. And the equipment isn’t just available for postgraduate research, it’s available for you as an undergraduate student too.
