University is a place to learn. But it’s also a place to live and belong. Make the most of it and discover our creative community of arts and culture. Create and harness your imagination beyond the classroom.

Creating an inspiring culture

Boasting two theatres, The Arts Centre offers a year-round programme, full of diverse performances. Our events are not just about inspiring others. It can be about giving you the creative inspiration and the chance to connect with others. Or simply about providing some evening entertainment after a long day of studying.

  • Challenge your brain with one of our quiz events
  • Enjoy musicals, dance shows, a whole lot of theatrical goodness
  • If comedy is more your thing, try out one of our regular comedy nights featuring familiar TV stars
  • For film fanatics, you’ll be glad to hear that we host recent cinema releases every Friday at 7pm. And, if you become a member of The Arts Centre, you can help yourself to a free popcorn too

Opportunities for you

We believe in your potential to make a difference. That’s why we surround you with opportunities to transform your university life.

A place to perform

Talent comes in all different forms. We love to explore the diverse talent we have here in our Edge Hill community.

That’s why we offer opportunities for you to showcase your passions in The Arts Centre Red Bar. Get involved and show off your creative flair or support your friends at our open mic nights, student talent nights or poetry slams. And if you’ve already graduated, we support our recent graduates in showcasing their work too.

Collaborations

We are also proud to collaborate with a range of external partners across the cultural industries and the creative and digital economy in the North West, and nationally.
