Discover – What can I do with my degree?

Through our Masters in TESOL, you’ll develop the skills and mindset to find employment all over the world. You’ll be ready to apply for roles such as teacher, trainer or lecturer of English as a foreign language, and work in organisations such as schools, colleges universities or the British Council.

Our foundation year programmes equip you with the skills, knowledge and understanding required to progress onto Year 1 of your intended degree at Edge Hill University and you can explore careers in these areas by viewing the relevant Help by Subject page for that course area. Remember, you can also explore careers that don’t directly relate to your degree. Did you know that over 80% of graduate employers will recruit from any degree discipline?

Develop – Developing skills and experience

If you already have some career ideas, the next step will be to develop your skills and gain some experience to build your confidence and increase your knowledge. You may want to consider volunteering, part-time work or undertaking a placement to increase your chances of gaining graduate employment after completing your degree. It’s also a great way to try-out career paths to see what you enjoy and if it’s a good fit for you.
