Children’s activities

Edge Hill Sport run a range of activities throughout the year offering children of all ages and abilities the opportunity to learn and develop sporting skills, while having fun and making new friends. Our qualified staff will help your child get the most from whatever activities they are participating in.

Gymnastics

Here at Edge Hill Sport we have our own General Gymnastics Club. Classes are available to all genders aged 5 – 15 years. Basic gymnastics skills and trampoline are taught in a fun, friendly and safe environment with qualified and experienced coaches.

Trampolining

We run a non competitive trampolining programme throughout the year, catering for children aged five and above. We offer high quality instruction designed to develop body awareness, increase confidence and learn new skills in a fun and challenging environment.

Swimming

Swim! is our bespoke learn-to-swim programme designed for 3+ years old and is delivered by expert teachers. We have small class sizes and teachers in the water with beginners. Adopting a child-led approach makes learning this vital life skill fun and progressive. All swimmers’ achievements are celebrated with certificates and badges. There will be a dedicated business manager on site to answer any questions regarding the programme too.

Founded by Olympians Becky Adlington OBE and Steve Parry MBE, swim! strives to ensure that every child learns this invaluable skill in an environment that is both enjoyable and safe. We can’t wait to start your child’s swimming journey with us.

Playscheme

Active Sport, part of the Active Sports Group, are delighted to announce a partnership with Edge Hill University on the delivery of holiday provision for 4-11 year olds. The holiday playscheme will be available to the children of Edge Hill staff and students and school children from across the local Lancashire area.

Active Sports Group have been delivering sports-based activities since 2005 and are excited to partner with Edge Hill University, an organisation which shares a passion for providing a range of sporting opportunities.

Active Sport holiday camps will be running during most school holidays with additional wraparound care available.
