If you are going into your second or third year and you are interested in living in halls, you’ll be able to apply to live on campus as a senior student. Applications will advertised before the Christmas holidays each year.

We are unable to guarantee rooms to all applicants, as priority for rooms in halls are given to new students and a students with additional requirements.

Due to our current capacity on campus, we are currently not able to offer rooms in our halls of residence for postgraduate students. However, we do have information available about private sector accommodation close to our campus, if you are an applicant with an unconditional or conditional firm offer on your postgraduate course.

If you have any questions or concerns about the room you have booked, please email the Accommodation Team in the first instance to gain some support and advice.

At any time during the academic year, if you wish to transfer to a different room on campus, you are able to apply for a room transfer via the Accommodation Portal (‘Requests’ and ‘Room Transfer Request’). Please note that all transfer requests are subject to eligibility (as well as availability of rooms).

When applying for a room transfer, you will be required to provide a reason for your request, along with evidence (where applicable). The Accommodation Team will then review your eligibility based upon the information you have provided. Should you be eligible for a transfer, you will then be contacted by the Accommodation Team to proceed with your room transfer.

Any current students are advised to explore options in the private sector. All registered vacancies with the University are now available on the off campus accommodation finder via the Students’ Union.
