This lecture will strive to answer complex questions in maternal health and discuss the navigation of multi-centre trials with Associate Professor Sharleen O’Reilly.
This presentation will cover the lessons learned while conducting and leading several complex Randomised Control Trials (RCTs) in women’s health. Sharleen has worked on three large RCTs, which span postpartum diabetes prevention in Australia (MAGDA), breastfeeding support for women with raised BMIs in Ireland (Latch-On) and chronic disease prevention for women from pregnancy to postpartum in Ireland, Spain, UK and Australia (Bump2Baby and Me). She will explore what worked and what didn’t in her experience as well as highlight important points to consider when planning interventions in this space.
