How to apply
Find about applying, and what steps you need to take as an international student.
There are three ways you can apply:
1. Via UCAS:
You can apply for full-time undergraduate degree programmes through UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service)
Edge Hill’s institution code is EHU E42, and you should ensure that this is entered clearly on your application form, together with the code for the course you wish to apply for. The course codes are listed on the course pages of this website.
2. Via one of our agents or partners:
Our agent or partner will support you in making your application to Edge Hill University. Our agents and partners have had lots of experience helping people to apply to us and they will be able to guide you and make sure that you have included al the documents that we will need. Once you have submitted the application form and all the supporting documentation to our agent or partner they will send them to us.

If you are a prospective student and want to study a taught Masters degree, Masters by Research degree, Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma, you will usually need to apply directly online to Edge Hill University.
Please visit the apply page which is categorised by academic department, the links will take you to the relevant application information for all of those programmes where you need to apply directly to Edge Hill University.
If you want to join a PGCE or Postgraduate Teacher Training course at Edge Hill University, you will need to apply through the apply for teacher training service on GOV.UK.
Please note, applications to undergraduate initial teacher training programmes are made through UCAS and not GOV.UK.

Apply directly by visiting the course information page and selecting the “Apply” section.

There are 3 ways you can apply:
1. Apply online:
The Pre-sessional English language course is for those wishing to progress to further academic study at Edge Hill University on either undergraduate or postgraduate courses (taught or research). All students must meet our entry requirements for the pre-sessional course.
There is no separate application form to complete for a pre-sessional programme.
You will need to apply for your main course of study online. For Undergraduate programmes please apply via UCAS. For a postgraduate taught degree please apply online.
Edge Hill’s institution code is EHU E42, and you should ensure that this is entered clearly on your application form, together with the code for the course you wish to apply for. The course codes are listed on the course pages of this website.
We may also be able to accept students on the pre-sessional course who are going on to other universities to complete their academic course if the pre-sessional courses at these institutions are full. We will require agreement and acceptance from other universities if we admit students on this basis.

There is no separate application form to complete for a pre-sessional programme. Our agent or partner will provide you with an application form to complete for your main course of study. Once you have completed the application form and all the supporting documentation to our agent or partner they will send them to us.

Apply hereShould you accept an offer of a place to study with us and formally enrol as a student, you will be subject to the provisions of the regulations, rules, codes, conditions and policies which apply to our students. These are available here
After you apply
When we receive your application, we give careful consideration to all the information you’ve provided, including your personal statement and referee’s report. We may invite you to an interview before your offer is made. Once we have reviewed your application we will let you know our decision. If your application is successful we will send you an email offer letter outlining the next steps in the application procedure.
A brief description of the different types are offers we can make are below: –
Unconditional offer – You’ve met the academic entry requirements.
Conditional offer – You must meet the offer conditions, these will be details on the email.
Unsuccessful offer – Don’t worry if you have not received an offer this time, you can try again next year.
Withdrawn offer – Your application might be withdrawn if you miss an interview, or don’t respond to our emails.

Congratulations on your offer!
Undergraduate students – to accept or decline your offer, go to UCAS Track.
Postgraduate students – to accept or decline your offer, go to Postgraduate Accept.
If you accept a conditional offer, your place on the course will be confirmed once you have metall the specified conditions.
Now that you have accepted your offer, you are ready to begin the application to request a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies).
Edge Hill University uses CAS Shield, an online self-service system that enables you to provide all the relevant information required by us to issue your CAS.
All offer holders who have accepted their offer will automatically receive an invitation to CAS Shield, allowing you to login and complete your CAS request. Please check your email spam and junk folders if you do not receive this email, the email subject will be titled “Welcome to CAS Shield”.
Receiving an Unconditional offer for a place on a programme does not guarantee you will receive a CAS. The University has a limited number of CAS that can be issued, so please complete the CAS application process early to avoid disappointment.
