Following this, I was a postdoctoral research fellow at Moray House School of Education and Sport, University of Edinburgh (2022 – 2024). I commenced my role as a Lecturer in Psychology at Edge Hill University in March, 2024.

Research Interests

My research investigates cognitive and affective aspects of reading. I am interested in the development of cognitive skills that support children’s reading comprehension, with a focus on inference generation. I am also interested in exploring how reading supports wellbeing, across the lifespan. My recent research has involved collaboration with external partners such as literacy and library charities.
