What is living on campus like?
We have seen generations of students succeed through hard work, dedication, and the community and support available when living in our accommodation. Fully immerse yourself in university life. And choose to live in one of six areas across the beautiful Edge Hill campus.
To make your decision even easier, we’re guaranteeing you a place in our halls for Year 1 of your course. All new first year undergraduate students, from the UK and EU, starting full-time in September 2022 are eligible.
Living on campus is the best option for many students as it can open the door to amazing experiences that will shape who you are. From making forever friendships to gaining independence and confidence.
How to choose the right accommodation for you
One look at our campus and you’ll know. This is the place for you. We also know that once you’ve made your mind up, it’s all about finding your second home and settling in. Here are a few tips to help you choose your accommodation:

A big part of feeling prepared for your first year at university is knowing exactly what you need to bring. We provide the necessary starting blocks to a comfy university life. Just remember clothes, toiletries and personal touches are up to you.
What we provide:
- A single bed and mattress
- Built in wardrobe
- A study desk and chair
- Wireless internet service
- Communal kitchen with all the essentials
- Laundrette facilities on site
Most rooms come with a flat screen which you can enable to watch Freeview TV. You can connect your gaming consoles to the wired network in Chancellors Court and Chancellors South, Founders East, Founders West, Palatine Court and Woodland Court. The communal areas in these particular halls, plus Graduates Court, include a 32″ LCD Freeview TV with a TV licence provided by the University.
If you’re allocated a room in Forest Court or Main Halls, you will need to bring pots and pans.

Therefore, Edge Hill University has signed up to the Student Accommodation Code. It includes your rights to the following key areas:

- a formal, contractual relationship with your landlord (the University in this case)
