If you have limited time to spend at one of our open days, we recommend planning ahead to get the most out of your experience.
Registration
The first thing you’ll do is register for your open day in the Main Building.
- Our friendly open day staff will direct you to the first available registration desk. Here, you can register your attendance using your booking ticket or QR code.
- You can collect a programme for more details about the day and ask the staff any initial questions you might have.
Key Information Session for Undergraduate Study
Our Key Information Session is the perfect way to find out more about the Edge Hill experience. It includes helpful guidance on university essentials including:
- an introduction to Edge Hill from our Vice Chancellor
- fees and finance
- accommodation
- wellbeing and support
Key Information Session for Mature Students
Are you a mature student, planning to commute to campus? You can attend our bespoke session for practical advice, specific student finance information and an introduction to Edge Hill.
Undergraduate talks and advice
We run a number of sessions that cover everything you need to know about Edge Hill. Here, you can find out more about the journey into higher education, applying to Edge Hill, and how we can support you through the process.
Sessions include:
- Undergraduate personal statements talk – Listen to our top tips to enhance your personal statement. Learn about structure, the best information to include, and how to use the STAR technique to demonstrate your skills and abilities.
- Finance talk for Allied Health courses – Looking to study undergraduate Social Work, Health and Social Wellbeing, Operating Department Practice, or Mental Health? In this session we’ll talk you through all finance and funding information.
- Widening Access and Participation: supporting equality of opportunity – Learn about the dedicated additional support we offer students. The Widening Access and Participation team support different social groups who may not normally consider higher education as an option, or are under-represented within higher education.
- Admissions drop-in – Do you have questions about applying to Edge Hill? Chat to our Admissions staff about entry requirements, interviews, qualifications, and DBS checks.
- Access programmes drop-in – Find out more about our Fastrack course, designed for those who don’t hold the entry qualifications for a degree at Edge Hill. We also offer equivalency programmes and tests if you don’t have the GCSEs or Level 2 qualifications you need.
Subject Talks and Q&A
You can also talk to academic staff on a one to one basis, ask questions and find out more about careers after the course.
Student Experience and Support Fair
Our Student Experience and Support Fair is where you can find everything you can get involved with as part of university life, from study abroad opportunities to student clubs and societies.
Our Specific Learning Difficulties, Inclusion, and Mental Health & Wellbeing teams will be on hand to discuss the support we offer. They can be found in a calmer and quieter area of our Student Experience Fair.
